What do you get when you have a passion for managing events and a love for sports? You get Pinnacle Sports Events. Cheryl Manor, founder of Pinnacle Sports Events, began planning events in 1984. It was not until her son began playing basketball did she think to merge event management with sports.
Cheryl has over 30 years of experience in the event management industry. Eleven of those years include planning events for Federal government agencies. After being affected by Federal budget cuts and after seeing what a positive impact sports can have on youth development, Cheryl decided to step out on faith and start her own sports event management company – Pinnacle Sports Events. She hopes that bringing quality youth sports events to young athletes will provide them with the necessary resources that will enable them to thrive.
Managing sports events is not just a hobby for Cheryl. It is an opportunity for her to use her creativity, resourcefulness, and talent to produce organized sports events that will positively impact the youth sports industry. She has reinforced her talent by obtaining Event Management Certificates from George Washington University in Washington, DC and California State University Dominquez Hills. She is also a Certified Government Meeting Professional, a Certified Meeting Professional, a Certified Incentive Specialist, and a Certified Sports Administrator.
